FOR GIG LISTINGS IN GLASTONBURY CLICK HERE
Well, hello there folks, welcome to Glastonbury's alternative music site. A look at the best in live music and news from the isle of AVALON.
On the 29th January Celtech played their debut gig at the Assembly Rooms. It was a fantastic evening and very busy. The evening kicked off with Wanton Women and the vocal compositions of Dora and Emma. Celtech's blend of folk and beats reminds us of the Afro Celt Soundsystem, thouroghly reccommend checking them out on myspace and reverbnation and look out for them in the Summer.
Still awaiting reports of Forcenra's gig on the 27th of February at the King Arthur. however the Excali-bar will be hosting some great names this March. First the wonderous Dragonsfly return on the 13th and then a half Kangaroo Moon on the 27th
the Assembly Rooms hosts the return of several Fabulous Furry Folk evenings this spring starting with the rustic fairytales of the Emma Portman Trio. Check in on Thursday the 25th.
Also at the Assembly Rooms on Saturday March 6th there is a benefit gig for enviroment charity Friends of the Earth. 'Healer' is a night of psychedic vibes and world grooves with backdrops by Deliberate space, Circus performers and Face painting. Sounds like a lovely night this one and for a good cause too
